Our ultimate goal is to create a revolutionary educational program that establishes Texas A&M University - Central Texas as the world’s leading institution for the study and advancement of photovoltaics. Since education is the key to creating a green economy in the U.S., training and education are our primary focus.

Our programs will be expanded annually to encourage further research and education in the field of renewable energy. CSE will also seek out opportunities for congruent programs at other university campuses with abundant natural resources. Since there are many possibilities on the educational front, the following list only touches on the potential for educational opportunities in renewable energy.

Community Education
The Center for Solar Energy’s comprehensive program creates a unique opportunity for community involvement, including education and participation at all levels.

The community will benefit from an on site Visitor's Center where presentations can be held, guided tours will begin, and informational materials obtained.  Each technology deployed at the Center will be featured and explained. Technology monitoring will be displayed as well that compares actual production with daily, weekly, monthly and annual projections. Environmental benefits will also be highlighted and quantified.
